Fifth World Trade Center Opening in Tijuana, Mexico

Today the new Tijuana World Trade Center opened up, representing an opportunity to foster trade within the international business community.

One of the main reasons behind this project is the high amount of exports to and from Tijuana, Mexico. The US Department of Commerce states that annual California exports to Mexico add to $20 billion dollars, and Tijuana accounts for $5 billion of those exports- making the Tijuana region responsible for 25% of exports. Tijuana exports through San Diego account for more than $6 billion dollars: manufactured goods (from consumer electronics to aerospace components) and regional produce and other food products(award winning wines from the Guadalupe Valley).
