Travel Tip for Carrying Cash While in Mexico
When traveling to Mexico, you should have on hand smaller denomination currency. US dollars are generally accepted in Mexico however it may be hard for vendors to break a large bill such as a $20 bill. Yes, you heard right - with a $20 US bill, you may be out of luck when trying to purchase items or may have a harder time paying for a taxi ride. If you don't plan on leaving the hotel while on business in Mexico, this may not be as much of an issue, but it's a tip that could help you move more quickly in your business travels.

Your New Website for Lower Airfare Alerts and Deals
Airfarewatchdog is a low airfare alert site that covers all airlines and lists promo code airfares and airline-site-only deals. What makes this different from other low airfare alerts is that Airfarewatchdog lists low fares that are found and verified by humans.
The Airfare Watchdog alerts allow the traveler to pick his/her cities and subscribe to email alerts when the airfare matches the price travelers are willing to pay. I've been able to take advantage of a few lower-cost fares to Mexico, so check it out!

Influx of Hotels Opening for Business Travelers in Mexico pt. 2
Even more hotels are coming to Mexico City for business travel, from PR Newswire:

W Hotels, an innovative luxury brand of Starwood Hotels and Resorts, recently announced expansion plans with a new property slated to open in Santa Fe in 2014. W Santa Fe will feature 132 rooms, several destination bars and restaurants, a pool deck and an outdoor bar, W's signature Living Room bar and cafe; a 4,000-square-foot Away Spa; a state-of-the-art fitness facility; and 7,800 square feet of meetings and events space. The hotel will be part of a new, mixed-use development called Liberty Plaza, designed by Richard Meier, Edmonds International and Krause Sawye.

W Santa Fe will be the second W in the D.F., joining the existing W Mexico City that is located in the upscale Polanco neighborhood, home to the newly opened Museo Soumaya. This eight year old property is also set to receive a significant renovation over the next couple of years."

Mexico City, already a destination for business travelers, is doing what it can to promote more business travelers to visit. Mexico City continues to increase its tourism numbers with business-related tourism that can be attributed to the increasing number of conventions, trade shows and corporate meetings held in the ancient capital city.
