Look for Direct Air Route between Mexico and China in 2011

Across the world travelers will soon be able to travel directly from Beijing, China to Mexico City, Mexico. The route is expected to open before the end of 2011.

This new direct route between Mexico City and Beijing is viewed as seen as one of the top priorities of Mexico's Tourism Ministry, and it's a matter that's being discussed with several international airlines. A flight between Mexico and Hong Kong is in the discussion as well.

"In an interview with Xinhua, Rodolfo Lopez Negrete, director of the Tourism Promotion Council of Mexico's Tourism Ministry said,'As part of the many initiatives to promote the influx of Chinese tourists to Mexico, the ministry and the Promotion Council have worked closely together with Mexican embassies and consulates in China to speed up the processing of tourist and business visas for Chinese nationals.' "

Spain Recognizes Tourism Value in Mexico

Mexico's Secretary of Tourism, Gloria Guevara thanked Globalia (the largest Spanish tourist company) for helping to increase tourism relations between Mexico and Spain. Currently, Spain is the 2nd European country with the most visitors to Mexico.

From Caribbean News Digital - "On July 2 Air Europa launched direct flights between Madrid and Mexico City with four weekly flights, operated by an Airbus A330-200 with capacity for 299 passengers (24 in business class), adding 5,000 seats per month. Guevara said that Air Europa is the fourth airline in Spain and the new flight will mean for the company a 20% increase in the available frequencies."

These new flights from Air Europa will certainly help business travelers out in traveling directly from Madrid to Mexico City.
