Etiquette for Travelers to Mexico

There are many words, phrases and idioms that become lost in translation and can offend others who are not familiar with the idiosyncrasies of a specific language. For example, while Americans may call someone "stupid" in jest, the word "estupido" in Spanish has far more damaging implications. The word is seen as a harsh insult and should be avoided when visiting and/or doing business in Mexico.
